Travels with Dixen

I met Dix on-line about seven years ago.  Six years ago, I flew to the UK and spent six weeks with her and had some of the best times of my life.  Dix is short, bossy, mouthy, and opinionated.  She is also generous, funny, and has a heart as big as a house.  She is from the Northeast of England--Geordieland (technically, to be a Geordie one has to be born in Newcastle, on a particular side of the river Tyne, in a month either with or without an "r", and between 9 am and 3 pm--or something like that.)  Dix lives south of Newcastle, but her manners, speech and outlook are still pure Geordie.    She is the Queen of chat and has friends all over the world whom she sometimes visits.   (I have tried to get her to come to the States, but she can't bear the thought of such a long plane ride and going without a fag all that time.)

I decided to chronicle some of her trips for posterity.  They are recorded just as Dix would speak if she was telling them  herself.  (If you need a translation, write me.)  After all, Johnson had his Boswell, and Holmes had his Watson, so why shouldn't  Dixen have her annie?

Dix goes to Turkey

Dix goes to Transylvania

Dix goes to the North Pole
