this is your Life. . . . .

pluvious

(In a change of policy, we allowed pluvious to help write his own Life history, since we were under deadline and hadn't time to do all the research)

Pluvious was actually born in Wales, his real name being Maewyn, but he was  captured by pirates and sold into servitude in Ireland.  When he escaped, he vowed to return and to lead the Irish into the way of the righteous.  He not only succeeded, he actually drove the snakes from Ireland also.   Many monuments are dedicated to him  from the simplest chapel to the grandest cathedrals (St. Pluvious Cathedral in  New York City).

  Pluvious at work in Ireland

(No, wait, that was St. Patrick.......................)

Pluvious was once the most famous High King of Ireland, and rallied his people to successfully fight the Vikings.  He instilled the "insanity" for which the Irish have grown famous in a fight.  It was said that only 20 Vikings escaped the battle alive.  (Noooooooooo, that was Brian Boru..........)

Pluv was a noted Irish wit and satirist, writing essays and books famous even today.  (hmmmmmmmmmmm)

Pluvious was a famous Irish poet, writing such stirring verses as "Parnell's Funeral" and "The Wild Swans at Coole".

He was also a popular playwright, most famous for "Major Barbara" and "Pygmalion"--one of Ireland's most famous sons.

He wrote a ground-breaking work set in Ireland and perfecting the "stream-of-consciousness" style of narrative.  (I think not!!!!!!!!!!!)

He became an award-wining actor and international sex-symbol.

Pluv founded a world-famous Irish folk singing group, most noted for their song "The Unicorn".

(Make note never to let anyone write their own bio again!)

Whatever else Pluv may or may not have done in his life, one thing is for certain...He has kissed a certain rock more than once!
