this
is your Life. . . . .
bari

Left to fend for herself at an early age (well, she was 25, but that doesn't make the story as heart-rending), Little Orphan bari went to stay at a home for career women.
The concierge was cruel and miserly, and made bari sleep on the same sheets for two weeks in a row! Even though bari paid a handsome sum for a sleeping room and breakfast, the room was cramped and the window was nailed shut. The heat went on November first and went off March 31. There were no laundry facilities and she had to share a bathroom with nine other women. Have you ever tried to get ready for work at the same time as nine other females in one bathroom?? Breakfast was instant coffee. bari really had a hard luck life!

"I can't wait for tomorrow." she thought
one day.
"I will seek my fortune and my future right now!" |
Accompanied only by a stray dog she found in a
garbage can, she set out to find a real life for herself.
|
She traveled to many places and met many strange people |
|
|
|
Some stranger than others |
| One day while she was busking on the corner for lipstick money, she met a man who told her that he knew someone who had been looking for a girl like her all his life. |
|
"Sure", said bari, hitting the man with her purse. "Get lost creep."
But he persisted, and bari finally agreed to meet the mystery man in front of the local cop shop--just in case. She took her dog too.
|
It was love at first sight for both of them. He promised to love bari the rest of her life, and her little dog too. Since she was making a pretty good living being a street musician, he decided to help her and learn the tambourine. He also promised to stop shaving his head and not to smoke in the house. |

"Leapin' lizards!" said bari, "What a guy!"
And so they lived happily ever after.
